RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Accountant and part of the Finance Team you will …

• be responsible for accounts payable management, including processing and pre-accounting of incoming invoices (including verification of correct invoice details/VAT disclosure).
• manage accounts receivable and create outgoing invoices.
• generate payment proposal lists for settling supplier invoices.
• be the first point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in both German and English.
• handle various balance sheet and income/expense account reconciliation tasks.
• assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (including consolidation) according to Austrian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (UGB).
• prepare and compile analyses, statistics, and reports (e.g., providing input for controlling or investor reporting).
• work closely with the external tax consultant on operational issues.
• support process design for the operational areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed commercial education or completed accountant certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable accounting.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of value-added tax (e.g., reverse-charge scenarios).
• Good knowledge of Austrian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (UGB) within the defined scope of responsibilities.
• Excellent Excel skills, including data analysis and preparation, including pivot tables.
• Strong communication skills in both German and English.
• Strong problem identification skills and the ability to independently develop solutions.
• Strong numerical understanding and analytical abilities (data interpretation), as well as a sense of responsibility and attention to detail are required.

• Experience in preparing and filing value-added tax pre-declarations would be desirable.
• Experience in a software/tech company.
• Experience in daily work with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., BMD or Odoo).

With first specific professional experience, we offer you an annual starting salary of EUR 41,500 gross/year with the potential to earn more, depending on your qualifications and experience.
