Senior Certified Financial Accountant (w/m/x)

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Certified Financial Accountant and part of the Finance Team you will …

• be the contact person for tax consultants, tax authorities, and auditors, independently carrying out ongoing accounting (Austrian Commercial Code - UGB), including closing entries and account reconciliations.

• prepare the (consolidated) monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB).

• be responsible for reporting (preparation and submission of VAT returns, Intrastat, and recapitulative statements).

• generate payment runs and monitor their timely execution.

• create reports and analyses, as well as participate in controlling and budgeting tasks.

• participate in transfer pricing matters and execution of invoicing between group companies.

• participate in setting up, optimizing, or further developing financial and accounting processes, as well as the accounting system landscape in close cooperation with the Head of Finance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed training as a certified accountant (UGB).

• At least 5 years of experience in (independent) accounting and the preparation of financial statements according to the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB).

• Strong knowledge in the field of value-added tax, including experience in preparing and filing VAT returns.

• Excellent knowledge of the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)

• Proficiency in Excel, including data analysis and preparation, including pivot tables, and experience with various accounting software (preferably Odoo).

• Strong communication and project management skills, as well as fluency in both German and English.

• Well-developed problem identification skills and the ability to independently develop solution proposals.

• Strong numerical understanding and analytical abilities (data interpretation), as well as a high level of personal responsibility and attention to detail.

With first specific professional experience, we offer you an annual starting salary of EUR 60,500 gross/year with the potential to earn more, depending on your qualifications and experience.
