Tailor-Made Web Appearance for Silicone Professional
Sateco AG, headquartered in Nänikon-Uster, Switzerland, is an expert in the design and production of precision silicone parts. The products are mainly used in the automotive industry, but also for switches and buttons on commercial vehicles, household appliances or in building automation.
Sateco needed a comprehensive redesign of their corporate web presence (including logo, print products, and website) and wanted a modern website with a responsive design. Product groups and references were required to be presented appealingly. They wanted a simple navigation function, with the help of which users in the product database could easily navigate back and forth between the products. As their business activities span worldwide, a bilingual website in German and English was indispensable. In the future, the site would also be needed in French, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese.
„The desired expandability for additional languages has already been technically implemented.“
Pimcore’s Gold partner, Brunner Medien AG developed their new website. An efficient product management system was created to ensure that products were always categorized in a meaningful way and presented in a uniform manner. The product display was a combination of static and dynamic content. The pages and general information were created manually, and the products were dynamically loaded from the database by assigning a product category. New products could be easily created and immediately presented online; images were automatically web-optimized when displayed. The same applies to the reference database, with which the business partners of all application areas could be presented attractively and linked with their logos. In addition, the scope was implemented to create buttons with so-called Pimcore snippets, which could be managed centrally and placed at different places on the website as desired.
Sateco AG now has a modern, high-end website that displays optimally on all the devices. Thanks to the tailor-made databases—customers and interested parties now find it easier to track down products and references. The desired expandability for additional languages has already been technically implemented. The new website can be maintained efficiently and without great effort by the operators. Sateco AG is highly satisfied with the end results.
