At Pimcore Inspire 2025, we proudly unveiled a major new milestone in our journey as a leading open-code platform: the launch of the Pimcore Open Community Alliance (POCA).
The Pimcore POCA is not a product, a plugin, or a platform—it's something far more powerful. It’s a people-driven alliance, built on trust, transparency, and a shared vision for the future of the Pimcore ecosystem.
The Pimcore Open Community Alliance (POCA) is an officially endorsed initiative, created to foster meaningful engagement between Pimcore and its most trusted, experienced, and long-standing contributors across Europe and North America.
This exclusive, invitation-only group—known as the original POCA crew—acts as a strategic bridge between the company and the community, enabling rich dialogue, collaborative innovation, and aligned growth.
The core idea behind POCA is simple: Pimcore is powered by people. Over the years, our global community has played a crucial role in shaping the platform’s evolution. POCA was born to take that collaboration to the next level.
POCA serves four key missions:
Foster Meaningful Dialogue
Creating a consistent and constructive communication channel between Pimcore and its most involved community leaders.
Represent the Community Voice
Ensuring that real-world feedback, ideas, and innovation directly influence Pimcore's roadmap and strategic direction.
Enhance Collaboration
Encouraging deep partnerships and shared learning through curated events, initiatives, and open discussions.
Provide a Trusted Forum
Offering a confidential and secure space for candid conversations, concept testing, and forward-looking proposals.
The POCA crew meets monthly to discuss the state of the Pimcore community and explore a wide range of important topics.
These meetings cover strategic and operational discussions, such as:
Every session is driven by the desire to better align Pimcore’s growth with the needs, insights, and ideas of its global community.
The founding members of POCA include a distinguished group of professionals who have consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the Pimcore ecosystem:
These individuals represent not only technical excellence but also a passion for open collaboration and community growth.
While POCA is a private and invitation-only group, it’s not disconnected from the community. In fact, community input is one of its most important pillars.
If you want to share your ideas, give feedback, or raise a topic for the POCA crew to consider, just post in the official
POCA category on the Pimcore GitHub Discussions board.
We actively monitor this channel and welcome constructive engagement from all Pimcore users, contributors, and partners.
POCA is more than a working group. It's a movement to keep Pimcore true to its roots—open, collaborative, and community-first—while building toward an even stronger and more strategic future.
We’re excited about what’s to come. The conversations are honest. The energy is real. And the impact will be significant.
Stay tuned for more updates from the POCA crew, and thank you for continuing to shape Pimcore alongside us.
