Single Source of Truth

Single Source of Truth (SSoT) ist das Prinzip, dass eine bestimmte Datenkategorie genau eine verbindliche Quelle hat, aus der alle anderen Systeme lesen. Im Produktdatenkontext bedeutet SSoT: Produktinformationen werden im PIM gepflegt, alle Kanäle (Webshop, Marktplatz, Print, App) beziehen ihre Daten dort. Pimcore PIM ist als Single Source of Truth für Produktdaten konzipiert.

Ohne Single Source of Truth hat jedes System seine eigene Version der Wahrheit. Der Webshop zeigt eine Produktbeschreibung, das B2B-Portal eine andere, der Amazon-Listing eine dritte. Wenn ein Attribut korrigiert werden muss, geschieht das in jedem System einzeln, oder gar nicht.

Eine SSoT-Architektur dreht das Modell um. Eine zentrale Datenquelle (PIM für Produkte, MDM für Stammdaten, DAM für Medien) wird zur einzigen autoritativen Stelle. Alle Kanäle lesen von dort, idealerweise über Echtzeit-APIs oder Event-Streams. Eine Änderung am Master propagiert automatisch in alle Touchpoints.

Pimcore ist von Grund auf als Single Source of Truth aufgebaut. PIM, DAM und MDM teilen sich eine gemeinsame Datenbasis und werden zentral verwaltet. Über APIs liefert Pimcore strukturierte Daten an jedes Frontend, jeden Marktplatz und jeden Print-Dienstleister, ohne Doppelpflege und ohne Konsistenz-Drift.
