With “D2.0,” valantic Austria delivered a modern headless content commerce system for Denner. The denner.ch website and the wine shop were unified within a cloud-based Kubernetes architecture. More than 30 systems, including SAP, were seamlessly integrated. The result is a centralized, Pimcore-based content and commerce platform built on a consolidated data model, offering high performance and a scalable foundation for multi-channel sales.

Denner had previously operated its website and wine shop on separate technology stacks with numerous interdependencies. The objective was to unite both environments within a future-ready platform. Branch, product, inventory, and pricing data from various sources had to be harmonized into a consistent structure. At the same time, a new SAP-based ERP system was introduced, and the infrastructure was migrated to Kubernetes. More than 30 systems and APIs, including SAP, Detailnet, Migros Single Sign-On, enterprise integrations, and marketing interfaces, had to be connected. In parallel, key concepts such as price labeling, product search, and ordering processes had to be adapted. A complex cancellation and refund process, including chargeback and delivery management, needed to be implemented end to end across all integrated systems.
Thanks to the open, constructive communication and the strong technological expertise of valantic Austria, we successfully implemented the new Denner digital experience platform. Throughout all phases of the project, valantic Austria proved to be a reliable and trusted partner.
Denner AG
valantic Austria implemented a headless architecture with Pimcore at its core, serving as the central system for managing data and content. All relevant data sources were consolidated into a unified data model and delivered across channels through reusable APIs. The denner.ch website and the wine shop now form a seamless digital experience in which promotions, content, and functionalities are consistently integrated. The infrastructure runs on a Kubernetes cluster (Azure AKS), providing scalability and operational reliability. In dedicated integration sessions with a project team of around 20 people, an automated end-to-end cancellation and refund process was successfully implemented. Personalized product recommendations powered by Prediggo complement the solution.
After around 1.5 years of project work, the new platform was launched on schedule, despite the parallel SAP (ERP) migration. Performance and stress tests confirmed stable processes under high user loads and consistently fast response times. A security audit conducted in line with strict MSI requirements was successfully completed. Both the OIDC login process and ordering process received full approval in the integration audit. Automated refund and chargeback processes significantly reduce manual effort. With Pimcore, Denner now operates a central platform for managing data and processes that provides the flexibility to efficiently connect additional shops, product ranges, and channels in the future.
