ATG products require quite a few associated documents, ranging from product datasheets and material safety data sheets to declarations of conformity, laundry instructions, etc. Many of these documents are legally required and essential, such as for gloves used in the food industry, as well as for ISO and ANSI/ISEA standards across various sectors and countries. Moreover, the requirements and templates for these documents can change sometime, making it a major challenge to manually manage all these documents in 22 different languages. A solution was previously implemented in Drupal, but there were several issues, and the version it was built on had reached end-of-life.
Pimcore web2print and PDFreactor to the rescue! For ATG, we implemented a powerful system where all products, product attributes, and assets are centrally managed in Pimcore using PIM, MDM, and DAM. Based on this data, all required documents are automatically generated and kept up to date through the Pimcore CMS in combination with PDFreactor. This automation significantly reduces manual effort and errors. Additionally, the Pimcore Datahub ensures that both the website and B2B portal always have access to the most recent, compliant documentation—streamlining operations across a multilingual, highly regulated environment.
