The implementation of Pimcore as a centralized PIM/MDM and DAM system marks a decisive milestone for gebo on its journey into a new era of data management. The primary challenge of this project lay in the immense complexity and variant diversity characteristic of industrial connection technology. The objective was to digitally map a modular, decades-proven product kit—comprising various materials, thread types, and inch sizes—into a single, high-performance platform. By seamlessly consolidating product data and media assets, existing system boundaries were entirely dissolved. The result is a highly modern, scalable infrastructure that radically simplifies daily data maintenance and prepares gebo for the global demands of digital B2B commerce.
To manage the immense variety of variants, different materials, and highly specific technical dimensions of gebo connection technology in a future-proof manner, the integrated Pimcore system bundles all data streams into a centralized location. The Pimcore PIM/MDM forms the technological heart of the solution: it structures and harmonizes complex product relationships, inch sizes, and thread types within a flexible, relational data model. In parallel, the seamlessly linked Pimcore DAM ensures the automated assignment and centralized provisioning of all media assets, such as product images, dimensional drawings, and technical certificates. This consolidation completely eliminates time-consuming manual reconciliations and redundancies in the master data. The result is a highly efficient backend that delivers consistent, compliant product data error-free and agilely for global B2B commerce.
