As a world-leading brand for fixing technology, HALFEN faced the challenge of making an enormous and highly complex product portfolio digitally tangible. The previous, purely CMS-based system reached its limits when managing the more than 20,000 industrial products and their substantial level of information. The challenge lay in designing a completely new, flexible data model that seamlessly combines technical attributes, country-specific approvals and marketing content. At the same time, the legacy IT infrastructure had to be migrated to a future-proof technology that offers designers and developers maximum freedom to create highly individual, international layouts.
The use of modern frontend technologies formed the foundation for a contemporary design and intuitive user guidance. The Pimcore CMS provides the perfect basis for this and optimally captures all unstructured content. At the same time, structured data finds its ideal home within Pimcore PIM/MDM and DAM, enabling all product data to be maintained centrally. The Pimcore product family delivers a unified backend for all editors within a single system, significantly increasing acceptance and efficiency among all stakeholders and ensuring a consistent user experience across the entire organization.
For us as an agency, Pimcore was indispensable because it is the only platform that perfectly combines highly complex product data and flexible CMS content within a single system. This was the only way we could develop a tailored, future-proof solution for Leviat that guarantees maximum frontend performance and peak backend efficiency.
With the successful migration to Pimcore, HALFEN Leviat has laid the foundation for an uncompromisingly future-proof data management system. Where a rigid legacy CMS previously hindered data synchronization, a seamless all-in-one solution now ensures automated processes and absolute data security. The highly complex product portfolio is now digitally tangible and intuitively accessible for customers. At the same time, the newly gained freedom in frontend development and content management has elevated the internal efficiency of editors to a new level and sustainably secured the buy-in of all stakeholders.
