Digital experience platform with shop and PIM replaces TYPO3 website

Solution

Pimcore partner agency valantic set up various interfaces to SAP. Customers, prices, products, inventory and orders are now synchronized between systems. The former website was strictly separate for the user according to the different divisions such as engine systems, propulsion systems and agrisystems. As part of the relaunch, this structure was completely rebuilt from the customer perspective. The new structure is supported by a great, modern design with animated elements.

Apart from that, the page offers a chain finder. Here the customer can set different filters by categories, applications, properties etc. to find the right product in the shop. In the product area there was the challenge of combining purchasable products and non-purchasable products. Both types should be filtered and found by the chain finder, but the product detail pages have completely different content structures. The purchasable products are specific product variants, which in turn are grouped into parent products. The non-saleble products do not require shop-specific information but can be requested.

For the shop the Ecommerce system CoreShop was used. In order to restrict the registration to B2B customers and to prevent multiple registrations, a VAT ID validation has been implemented.

On the iwis website there is also a news section, a trade fair module and a sales organization search. This search can be filtered by country, zip code and area so that the desired local contact can be found quickly. For applicants there is an extensive and visually independent career portal with connection to HR4YOU.
