Configuration options of the bike

On the one hand, the presentation of the various configuration options of the bikes proved to be a challenge. These configuration options were to be presented in a user-friendly way. Through product personalization, the customer should be able to select details - such as the fork of the bike - and adapt them to his wishes. The entire configurator had to be programmed by hand. The 360° display of the bike was also a challenge, as it changes depending on the selected configuration.

Implementation with Pimcore

The prestigious steelworks project from thyssenkrupp was implemented with Pimcore. The open source software contains an in-house e-commerce module. This enables the integration of a store with purchase process and payment processing. The payment module for Pimcore, which was already developed by asioso in advance and with which Payone can be easily integrated, was also used for this website. Since Pimcore is among other things also a PIM, there is the possibility to centralize all product data and feed it into other systems - even headless. The website exists in German and English to pick up a wide target group. To promote the store, a newsletter function was implemented via Zoho.
