Classic AI systems respond to requests. Agentic AI goes further. An agent receives a goal, for example optimize all product descriptions for the French market, and plans the necessary steps autonomously. It reads data from the PIM, analyzes gaps, generates copy, has it reviewed, and writes the results back.

What distinguishes Agentic AI from a simple automation script is the ability to handle unstructured situations. An agent reacts to unexpected data quality, picks alternative paths, and pulls a human in on real uncertainty, instead of failing silently or producing wrong results.
