Content Syndication

Content syndication solves a classic scaling problem. A manufacturer active in ten sales channels cannot prepare content manually per channel. Instead, product data is maintained centrally and syndicated, that is, structurally pushed to every recipient in its required form.

The complexity sits in the diversity of recipients. Amazon wants a different data structure than Otto, Zalando different than a B2B distributor, a data pool like GDSN different than a direct webshop connector. Per recipient you need a mapping between the internal data model and the required output format.

Pimcore PIM makes content syndication a configuration task. Per-recipient export profiles define the mapping, auto-triggers update on data changes, status tracking documents what is at which recipient in which version. Through native connectors to marketplaces, data pools, and distributors, syndication runs without manual effort.
