GDSN (Global Data Sync Network)

GDSN solves a classic FMCG problem: a brand manufacturer supplies dozens of retailers, each with its own data formats and import requirements. Before GDSN, that meant a separate data export for every retailer. With GDSN, the manufacturer maintains the data once in a certified data pool, retailers subscribe to the product portfolio and receive all updates automatically.

GDSN covers more than a thousand standard attributes: dimensions, weights, nutrition values, allergens, packaging hierarchies, storage conditions, regulatory markers. Data quality is rule-validated, inconsistencies are flagged before publication. For regulated sectors like food, GDSN is effectively mandatory.

Pimcore PIM is GDSN-capable. Products are maintained in Pimcore, GDSN-relevant attributes are validated against the standard model and automatically published to the data pool. Connectors to 1WorldSync, Atrify, and SA2 Worldsync run the GDSN workflow without duplicate maintenance.
