Generative AI

Generative AI differs fundamentally from classic ML applications. A classic model classifies (spam or not?) or predicts (how much revenue?). A generative model produces new output that did not exist before: a product description, an image, a code answer. That opens new application fields and creates new challenges around quality, factual fidelity, and control.

In product data the applications are diverse. Generating marketing copy in multiple languages, translation with culturally adapted localization, automatic filling of data gaps, generating channel-specific variants of the same product, AI-driven image editing. All of that replaces tedious manual work when properly integrated.

Pimcore integrates generative AI directly into PIM and PXM. Copy is generated on the basis of structured product data, not invented out of nothing. Workflows control approvals, audit trails document every AI-generated change, and the Agent SDK enables custom generative workflows. That prevents hallucinations and turns generative AI into a production-ready function rather than an experiment.
