Retail Channels

Retail Channels are the routes through which a product reaches the end customer: brick-and-mortar, your own webshop, marketplaces, B2B portals, apps, voice commerce. Every channel has its own requirements for product information, image formats, inventory, and pricing structures. Pimcore PIM makes it possible to serve every channel from one data foundation, without duplicating channel-specific data.

A modern company rarely sells through only one channel. A typical manufacturer serves its own webshop, a B2B portal, multiple marketplaces (Amazon, Otto, eBay), brick-and-mortar through distributors, and maybe its own app. Every channel has its own logic and its own requirements.

The problem is data multiplication. If product information is maintained per channel separately, duplicate effort and inconsistent presentation result. A new product needs weeks of preparation in the worst case before it is live in every channel. Channel-specific adjustments (different images for Amazon, different copy for B2B) have to be managed systematically.
