Challenge

Every year, Kemper creates a new product catalog that is published in 8 languages. The Web2Print function with PIM integration was intended to facilitate the easy creation of the multilingual comprehensive catalog.Additionally, a technical relaunch was required to optimize infrastructure and backend for modernization purposes. The upgrade involved transitioning from Pimcore 2.3 to version 5 initially, with further stages planned to reach the latest major version.The key focus for the website relaunch was on digital value creation with Pimcore through a central PIM system integrated with ERP.

Results

The efficient creation of the product catalog in 8 languages through the PIM system provides improved control over product information and allows for flexible adaptations to market needs. Editors utilize data objects or integrate graphic files, enhancing the user experience and boosting efficiency through an intuitive interface. The time required for creation has been significantly reduced, and each catalog version is characterized by consistent quality and precision, strengthening the international perception of the Kemper brand as reliable and professional. The automated data import from the ERP to PIMCORE ensures updated prices and maintains uniform, current systems without data loss. Scripts expedite the migration process, resulting in significant time savings during product information updates.
