To reposition themselves in the digital realm, Quehenberger makes use of the open-source services offered by Pimcore. The platform thus slips into the role of logistics service provider too and delivers information about the company online. The to-do list for the project’s implementation included a fully responsive website, which displays all content in 17 languages, and the creation of a multilingual tracking concept. In addition, a comprehensive, innovative intranet had to be developed for approximately 1,500 users at more than 90 locations throughout Europe.
Sounds challenging? Not for Pimcore! Thanks to PIM, MDM and DAM, Quehenberger benefits from consistent cross-channel data transport as well as from optimal management, consolidation, distribution and transformation of digital media content. With Pimcore, Quehenberger now has a system in which all data gets consolidated. The advantage: central management of all relevant data on the website and intranet, including granular user authorizations.
The result is impressive: The recently launched fully responsive website provides a state-of-the-art basis for communicating the logistics service provider’s portfolio to people around the world. And Quehenberger's employees have plenty of reason to be happy, too. Even logging on to the new intranet is easier than ever before thanks to convenient SSO user authentication. Once logged on, they benefit from an intuitive user experience, which also works optimally on the go thanks to the design’s mobile-first approach . The like and comment functions encourage internal communication and make it easier for employees to actively contribute and exchange ideas. And because Quehenberger loves speed and progress on land, on water and in the air just as much as online, the company constantly works on further developments. Among other things, shipment tracking and the search function on the intranet are currently being optimized.
