The Austria Trend Hotels offers are primarily focused on city and business travel, but it also offers planning and implementation of events as an additional service.

Austria Trend Hotels are located at 23 sites in Austria and Slovenia. Depending on the location, the hotels offer special vacation packages, so all guests can find suitable offers for their individual travel preferences. To optimally present the variety of offers online, a system was needed to inspire guests to book. In addition, the goal was to make internal booking management easier.

Hotel presentation supported by Pimcore

To successfully generate bookings, the hotels, the offers and, above all, the impressions had to be presented simply and clearly. Each hotel was to be accessible via its own fully responsive website including navigation. At the same time, central content elements were needed for the entire chain. To implement all these requirements and wishes, only one platform was needed to do the job – namely: Pimcore. The CMS ensures an optimal presentation of the content. What’s more, the digital commerce framework makes sure that looking for information eventually results in hotel bookings.
Solution

The heart: a booking process à la Pimcore

The first impression of a hotel and its rooms plays an important role in the booking process. However, if the journey to completing it is full of stumbling blocks, the process might still be aborted by the user. To make it as simple and straightforward as possible, Austria Trend Hotels has developed its own booking route (IBE), which is based on Protel. Now, the tool is successfully in use at most of the locations.

Happy staff, happy working

At Austria Trend Hotels, the guest is king. And yet, employees play an equally important role. That's why an internal system was developed with information about the hotels and rooms. The result: happy staff in the reservations department, who can see all the details about a room's amenities at a glance and with just a few clicks. Next steps: optimizing booking management Although it is wonderful to relax in the hotel chain's rooms, the company is not resting on its laurels. In the background, work is already underway to optimize the administration of IBE bookings. In addition, the implementation of an IBE from other hotel groups is already being planned.
