Furthermore, you can report identified bugs and issues in our ticket system. We always strive to provide the best possible product experience, so we will try to solve problems as quickly as possible. If you need further support, you can enhance your Pimcore Cloud Edition plan with one of our optionally available Service Level Agreements, which gives you access to direct technical support and binding response times in German and English by our Pimcore experts.
Besides our public demo, a specific Pimcore Cloud Edition trial is available. For the duration of 3 months, it allows you to set up and test your own POC including data model, workflows, etc. Due to an existing free public demo, we have to at least cover our costs for providing this trial version to you. Please contact our sales team for further information.
None whatsoever! All Pimcore Cloud Edition plans can be used as a self-service solution without any further costs. However, if you feel that you need additional support for your project, we are happy to assist you. You’ll have the option to purchase one of our Pimcore Client Success Packs, where a dedicated Pimcore Client Success Manager will help you get the most out of Pimcore. Alternatively, you can also rely on one of our more than 140 Pimcore partners worldwide, who are able to set up and configure your Pimcore Cloud Edition based on your specific business challenges.
As data and experience management requirements differ greatly based on individual needs and challenges, this is unfortunately not possible. However, we do provide Pimcore Cloud Success Packs to support you in your initial strategic considerations and goals, conception, or project configuration (data modeling, workflows, etc.).
As soon as you sign up for one of our Pimcore Cloud Edition plans, you will be asked for an initial annual payment in advance. As payment options, we currently offer bank transfer and PayPal. For payments made at PayPal, you do not need to own a PayPal account to pay. You may enter your credit card's data directly at PayPal and complete your payment.
At Pimcore, we are convinced that PIM/MDM and DAM projects aren’t a 'come and go' decision for an organization. Despite the fast setup and ramp-up, it still normally takes a while to define your data model, prepare your data internally and roll out a project of this scope within your organization. As a result, we have defined a minimum contractual period of 12 months to ensure you give yourself enough time to set up and roll out the solution.

The Pimcore Professional Cloud Edition is the right choice if your project is about comprehensive data management, including enterprise digital asset management with complex metadata and extensive data and asset dimensions. It even provides portal and headless content management functionalities, which allow you to use Pimcore as your holistic data and content hub (as a service).
With Pimcore’s Ultimate Cloud edition, we equip you with the full power of Pimcore Cloud Edition – perfect, if you need further Enterprise functionalities such as Direct Edit, Adobe/Microsoft integration, or product content syndication to 2 500+ channels.
With the Pimcore Cloud Edition, you’ll never have to worry about upgrades again. There’s only one version of the Pimcore Cloud, and we’re constantly releasing improvements and features to continually make it better and better. The best part: You don’t need to do anything. No upgrades, no surcharges, no nothing. You’re always using the latest and greatest version for your data management.
Currently, an automatic upgrade or downgrade between different plans is not possible due to potential conflicts with your data model and an additional or reduced functional scope of Pimcore (e. g. Enterprise Extensions). Nevertheless, we made sure that a migration path is available on request. If you would like to upgrade or downgrade between Pimcore Cloud Edition plans, please contact your Pimcore Client Success Manager or contact our sales team.
Can I switch from a Pimcore Cloud Edition to an on-premises Enterprise Edition or the other way around?
Yes, it’s possible to switch between these editions – but only as part of a custom migration project managed by one of our solution partners. The effort required strongly depends on your technical infrastructure requirements for the Enterprise Edition. Since the Pimcore Cloud Edition has limited functionalities in comparison to the Pimcore Enterprise Edition, there might be significant migration limitations regarding customized functionalities, data modeling, and templating in case of a “downgrade” from Cloud to Enterprise.

Data objects are structured, unique objects such as products with meta information based on predefined attribute classes in Pimcore’s data model. Along with documents (semi-structured – editorial content) and assets (semi-structured – media data), data objects are the main items used to hold structured information in Pimcore. Examples of data objects include product SKUs (stock-keeping units), product sets and bundles, product categories, brands, suppliers, accessories, locations, and more.

I want to create individual customized channel solutions with Pimcore (websites, eCommerce shops). Is this possible with the Pimcore Cloud Edition?
The Pimcore Cloud Edition offers the perfect headless approach for your data and experience management project. You can use the Pimcore Cloud Edition to import and manage all your product information, media assets, and editorial content – and then deliver them via Datahub exports or API endpoints (GraphQL, REST) to any third-party channel solutions.
Currently, the Pimcore Cloud Edition focuses on configuration only. This means that no customization using code is possible. As a result, DXP and eCommerce framework functionalities cannot be used and customized by clients. With the Pimcore Experience Portals, we offer an out-of-the-box channel for easily configurable portals. However, as we are always striving for innovation, we are working on enhancing the Pimcore Cloud Edition regarding cloud-based digital experience management including customized templating. We use Amazon Web Services for the Pimcore Cloud Edition’s infrastructure to provide you with state-of-the-art data security and data privacy mechanisms. If you have specific questions about security and privacy issues, do not hesitate to contact our sales team.
Your Pimcore Cloud Edition instance is managed via Amazon Web Services by our Pimcore experts. The default location of your server is in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. All contracts with AWS are signed with the European Amazon subsidiary. If you prefer a different server location (e. g. USA), we can provide this as part of our Pimcore Custom Cloud Edition.
