Case Study: Optimizing Iglotex’s Product Information Management and Sales Processes
Iglotex is a market leader in Poland's frozen food industry. They produce and distribute their products internationally, mainly in Europe, with clients also in North and South America and Asia.
The project involved implementing a Product Information Management (PIM) system using Pimcore to streamline the management of extensive product data. It aimed to enhance data organization and use for nearly 7,000 products, facilitating better presentation across various sales channels, including e-commerce. The new system also empowered sales teams with quick access to detailed product information, improving the overall sales process.

Streamlining Complex Data Management and Integration Needs
The primary challenge was selecting an appropriate PIM system that would integrate with existing infrastructure. The client required seamless connection with their current ERP and Nielsen Brandbank systems, which were essential for maintaining accurate and up-to-date product information. Additionally, user training presented a significant hurdle, as end users and administrators needed to be adequately prepared to utilize the new system effectively. This required a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and operational aspects of the Pimcore system to ensure a smooth transition and adoption across the organization.
"Operational and logistics features dominated our product information before the deployment of Pimcore; it was more of a file than an offer. We can now not only deliver an appealing, rich, and transparent offer through digital channels, but we have also provided a functional tool for our traders to better acquaint themselves with our offer and present it to our consumers."

Implementing a Comprehensive Pimcore-Based PIM System
To address these challenges, the project was divided into four distinct stages: requirement analysis, tool selection, development, and implementation. We conducted thorough workshops with the client's team to identify their specific expectations regarding the PIM system. Following this, Pimcore was selected as the most suitable tool due to its robust capabilities in managing product information and its scalability. During the development phase, we implemented the Pimcore module and established integrations with ERP and Nielsen Brandbank. The system was adapted to meet the client's data model and user requirements. The implementation was followed by extensive training sessions for end users and system administrators to ensure they were equipped to leverage the new system effectively.
"We gave the client a tool allowing complete data consolidation, handling, verification, editing, and distribution from a single location. We have included the ability of further data migration from sources other than those envisaged at the start of the project via mass import of data from files during the project."
