DT Swiss has been supporting cyclists with the crucial components for their bikes for more than 25 years. They design, invent and develop products that set new standards every day. Wheels, suspension forks, rims, spokes, hubs ... DT Swiss has brought the art of engineering in the development of bicycle components to perfection.

The stage for these products was to be redeveloped as part of a comprehensive website relaunch. The task: digitizing the art of engineering. Over the past 1.5 years we have digitized the “Swiss precision” that the company stands for and put it on the website.

The challenge: technology that doesn’t feel very technical

As a very technically oriented company, DT Swiss strives to maintain its leadership on a daily basis. That's why it was especially important to them that the website is on the highest technical level and that people can experience their innovations, rather than just looking at them – always keeping in mind that using the site should feel easy and uncomplicated. With more than 12,000 products and many details to consider, this was the greatest challenge.

Configuration of the desired product

From searching and filtering for the right products, to identifying the material, to forwarding it to the dealer for the final purchase. The product and the customer who wants to use it are always at the center of the website. For the user it feels like a simple configuration of the product he is looking for – guiding him step by step. In order for the website to meet this user-centric demand, we have standardized and automated the maintenance of the products on the website with Pimcore. All data of the more than 12,000 products is stored in the PIM and DAM at a central location and through it, integrated on the website. That way, new innovations of the company can be easily presented and integrated.

Together with DT Swiss, we have carried out the relaunch step by step over a period of 1.5 years, during which time we have added new features and details to the website.
