ELKA provides a wide range of high-quality products in numerous variants to a specialized global trade audience. The key challenge was adapting the website, B2B online shop, PIM system, and online configurator to meet the unique needs of the company and its diverse customer base. The project’s complexity was amplified by the need to develop and integrate the configurator, ensuring seamless communication between all systems involved.

ELKA uses Pimcore to centralize website content, product data, and digital assets for its B2B online shop and configurator. Built on Pimcore’s robust CMS, ELKA’s new online shop includes custom features such as an integrated shopping cart, a React-based configurator developed with partner redhotmagma, and a spare parts search by serial number. An advanced download area provides secure access to documents, while custom pricing logic and ERP integration enable personalized pricing and direct order transfer with production details. Product filters and digital asset management are streamlined within Pimcore, ensuring a seamless, data-driven customer experience.

The project with ELKA demonstrates how a holistic digital experience solution creates added value in the B2B environment. Through the relaunch of the website, the implementation of a powerful B2B online store, and the introduction of Pimcore as the central data management system, content, product data, and digital assets were bundled and made efficiently usable. Particularly noteworthy is the custom-developed online configurator, which maps complex configuration logic and numerous dependencies, providing targeted support to dealers and sales partners at the point of sale.
Features such as serial number-based spare parts search, flexible product filters, and a structured download area further enhance user-friendliness and service quality. Combined with a clear, modern UX/UI design and a mobile, user-centered layout, the result is a solution that is both technically and creatively impressive and can be considered best practice for digital transformation in the B2B sector.
