Managing an increased complexity
The sudden increase in orders due to the awarding of government contracts and the explosion in the number of car variants introduced on the market by car manufacturers (with the consequent need for homologation or testing) have prompted Focaccia to review and digitize its core business processes. In particular, the tracking of the various processing phases of public contracts and the management of homologation and testing of converted vehicles.
A centralized digital hub to guide users in the different phases of the processes
After analyzing and formalizing the workflows and defining the required outputs, Extera decided to develop a customized solution based on Pimcore for some of the out-of-the-box functions it offers.
The integration with Symfony workflow, the extremely flexible data modeling system, and the backend with a configurable user/role permission system all made Pimcore the best platform to create the webapp necessary to meet the needs of Focaccia Group. Furthermore, the integrated Web-To-Print solution for creating PDF certificates, the DAM for storing such documents and the reporting, visualization and data extraction functions closed the circle of the key elements the customized solution had to include to reach the best performance for the client.
Starting from these tools and integrating them with ad hoc customizations to fully satisfy the customer's needs, Extera has thus been able to provide a platform that can support users in the various phases of the processes described above, facilitating the collection of information, automating the production of documentation, sending automatic communications and synchronizing data with the company ERP.
