We implemented a PIM system for S-GARD that allows the company to enrich its products with all the necessary information and assets from shoots and, at the same time, automatically output them to the website or technical data sheets.

Central Data Management of Complex Product Information
S-GARD manufactures protective clothing that must meet the highest requirements for all operational scenarios and must comply with all necessary standards. This makes product development very complex, and products quickly consist of more than 100 individual parts and components. The PIM must also be able to map this complexity so that all information on the materials used, layer structures and the standards fulfilled are always up-to-date and binding for the product presentation.
PIM System with Matrix Structure to Control All Product Properties
In order to best reflect the complexity of the garments with their different components, materials and functions, an intelligent hierarchy over six levels was chosen, starting with the product itself. The other levels - layer structure, color, variant, size grid and size – make it possible to differentiate articles to the maximum with minimal maintenance effort. In addition, the dependencies of standards, layers and materials on the product can be mapped in the PIM via relations.
Clear and Simple Maintenance and Export of Product Data
The PIM system based on Pimcore gives S-GARD the opportunity to maintain and clearly manage the entire product portfolio in a central location with all associated information and all dependencies on standards, layers and materials. Intelligent inheritance helps with product maintenance, and there is now only a single source of truth. This also ensures that the product data sheets, which are extremely important for these sensitive garments, are always up-to-date and binding and can be created very easily.
