Customer Key Facts

Individuality requires flexibility

The extensive product range necessitated connecting the website to various external systems which in turn required a high level of flexibility. Doing business in multiple countries presented another challenge. In addition, the website design had to be improved with regard to an optimal user experience, while at the same time maintaining the wonderfully playful look and feel.

Pimcore makes work easier

No sooner said than done! After the relaunch of the website, SONNENTOR now has a parallel-running multi-client framework. This cleverly resolved the enormous complexity of the multi-interface connection. From now on, thanks to separate product threads and connection options to several ERPs, the systems can work together smoothly – even across countries. The content management system was tailored to SONNENTOR's requirements as well. Would you like an example? From now on, complex relationships between products, recipe suggestions and tips can be stored with corresponding logics and thus automated. Even the parallel voucher systems – Pimcore e-commerce vouchers and external systems for POS and the online store – complement each other perfectly after the relaunch.

A fun experience for online shoppers

While SONNENTOR appreciates the simpler maintenance processes and optimized connections to external systems, customers are more excited about going on a journey of discovery in the online store. The playful tea and spice configurators make customers want to fill their shopping carts, as does the ingredient calculator that's part of the recipes. What's more, the "bestseller" and recommendation logics have a positive impact on the users' customer experience. A collaboration with a bright future ahead: Work on the next steps is already underway. By switching to Pimcore, the technical foundation for automation measures such as content commerce, multichannel marketing, and personalization is now in place.
