Pimcore has been mentioned in IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Product Information Management Applications for Commerce 2019–2020 Vendor Assessment. This IDC study provides an assessment of the primary PIM application vendors for digital commerce use cases. The study also focuses on criteria that are most important for enterprises to consider while choosing a PIM platform.

The report has assessed Pimcore on many criteria and highlighted end-to-end commerce capability, API-driven approach, and open source flexibility as its key strengths. With end-to-end commerce, enterprises can manage product data and build digital experiences, and then sell their products and service within a single platform. Its modern, API-first architecture makes it easier to integrate with third-party software seamlessly.

Pimcore is multitenant at the infrastructure layer, and enterprises can deploy on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The PIM product is also pre-integrated with DAM, customer data management, and digital commerce systems. It is a great alternative to expensive PIM systems for improving time-to-market and reducing operational costs.

Being included in this report confirms that Pimcore is a major player in the PIM software category. With the open-source framework Symfony as foundation it provides thousands of extensions and bundles for tweaking its features even further. The product has the customer base across the global, majorly in North America (NA), Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (AP).

Pimcore is also a Gartner Cool vendor and a trusted Digital Experience Platform vendor in Forrester’s report.
