Explore the New Pimcore Learning Hub - Interview with Bernhard Steiner

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Bernhard Steiner, Learning Manager at Pimcore, to discuss the launch of the Pimcore Learning Hub and introducing two new courses on the Partner Space Center. Here’s what he shared with us:

Bernhard, thanks for joining us today. Can you start by telling us about the latest developments in learning at Pimcore?

Absolutely! We’ve launched the Pimcore Learning Hub, our central destination for all learning and development activities. It's designed to help users maximize their experience with Pimcore by offering a comprehensive, user-focused curriculum. Whether you’re an experienced professional or just getting started, the Learning Hub has something for everyone. Continuous learning is crucial in today’s fast-paced digital world, and the Learning Hub is here to support that journey.

That sounds exciting. We heard about a new concept called Open Knowledge. Can you explain what it is and how it connects to the Academy?

Sure! We’ve organized our learning offerings into two main categories: Open Knowledge and the Academy.

Open Knowledge focuses on business growth by promoting and positioning our Enterprise and PaaS solutions through use-case-based learning. It's free for all users, fostering a culture of open-source learning and continuous improvement. This helps shorten partner onboarding time and empowers our Pimcore Partners to deliver maximum customer value. Currently, Open Knowledge is aimed at our Partner ecosystem, but we plan to expand it to Business Users in the future.

On the other hand, the Pimcore Academy is geared towards more technical and more advanced business enablement. It includes in-depth technical courses and shorter modules based on new platform releases. Access to the Pimcore Academy is available through a subscription model, ensuring high-quality, structured learning experiences. This approach helps maintain technical quality, supports business positioning, and offers certificates upon course completion.

In a fast-changing digital world, enterprises need to learn, unlearn, and adapt. How does Pimcore address these challenges?

I couldn’t agree more. The digital landscape evolves quickly, and enterprises need to keep up by learning new skills and unlearning outdated ones. To help with this, we designed our courses to be short and focused on real business cases. This makes learning more manageable and ensures the content is highly relevant and immediately applicable. By basing our courses on real-world scenarios, we help learners quickly understand practical applications and see the value in what they’re learning.

That’s a great approach. Can you tell us about the new courses available at the Partner Space Center?

We’re excited to introduce two new courses around Pimcore Copilot and Pimcore PaaS.

Mastering Efficiency with Pimcore Copilot

We’re making the new Copilt course available to everyone until September 6th, 2024. After that period, it will only be available in the Pimcore (Partner) Space Center.

Mastering Efficiency with Pimcore Copilot is tailored for non-technical users. It introduces the capabilities of Pimcore Copilot, an assistant that integrates seamlessly with the Pimcore platform. The course helps users understand how this tool can improve efficiency and manage data effectively. You’ll learn about essential functionalities, including context-sensitive actions and the job execution engine, and see how these features can benefit your work.

Pimcore PaaS

Pimcore PaaS is designed for both technical and business professionals. It provides a comprehensive introduction to Pimcore’s PaaS edition. After completing the course, you’ll be equipped to position Pimcore PaaS to prospects and customers by highlighting its increased efficiency, reduced operating costs, and faster deployment capabilities.

These courses sound incredibly valuable. How can users get started with the Pimcore Learning Hub and these new courses?

Getting started is easy. Pimcore Partners can enroll in our new courses on the Pimcore Space Center. If you have questions regarding the Partner Space, reach out to your Partner Manager. But this is just the beginning. We aim to offer more than just a collection of courses; it’s a community of learners and experts dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation.
