Solution

Initial implementation of a consolidated product data platform and media asset management

Netformic set up an international and scalable B2B platform for Freudenberg's customers based on Shopware 6 including Enterprise Search. This includes customer-specific prices and restricted information without login, bilingual product data and two warehouses with order splitting.

In order to be able to provide its customers with the desired product information, such as data sheets and technical information, a consolidated product data platform and media asset management were set up on the basis of an initial Pimcore implementation. The product data was transformed, merged and transferred from different file systems and databases. An individual Pimcore plug-in was implemented for the automatic creation of individual product data sheets that describe product groups based on attributes and filters suitable for the B2B store.  Thanks to dynamic templates, product data sheets can even be created on the fly in the B2B platform for users. 

With the future use of 3 different software technologies such as SAP, Pimcore and TTM, communication between the systems had to be ensured. Netformic developed this with the help of interfaces programmed individually for Freudenberg Performance Apparel. In order to be able to cover the different user needs of its customers, 3 different user roles were introduced and a total of 6 workflows were set up in Pimcore for these roles.

Solution-oriented Pimcore configurations for Freudenberg Performance Apparel

With the help of Pimcore's features, such as the creation of workflows and quality gates or user and role management, successful and effective product data management was made possible for Freudenberg.

With this project, Freudenberg's Apparel Business Unit successfully launches a B2B platform for interlinings in all segments of the fashion industry as the very first market player in the European market, making it the first European B2B online store in the textile industry.
