What are the new features and technical improvements released in 2022?
Pimcore managed to roll out three major releases this year. With all of them going live in Q3 2022, the organization reached an important milestone in its journey.
Let’s head back to July when Pimcore Experience Portal 2.3.0 was released with awaited features, a guest login, and the possibility to set up portals without a user logging in. The core idea behind it was to open portals for business partners involved in the respective processes. Pimcore Experience Portal 2.3.0 also comes along with a variety of technical improvements.
The release of Pimcore 10.4 and 10.5 versions are paying more attention to User Interface (UI) Features next to more developments on the technical side.
While refining the SaaS offering, Pimcore Managed to increase its level of cloud readiness tremendously. The improvements include massive performance and traffic optimizations for asset trees in the backend, which benefit Pimcore regarding cloud deployment.
Switching over to GitHub, the Pimcore community has been growing, and the contribution is genuinely breathtaking. Together with you, a whopping 1867 pull requests have been created this year. Thank you for all the contributions, reports, and ideas you brought in!

Pimcore closes $12M Series B Funding
One of the most important highlights for Pimcore in 2022 has been closing a $12M Series B deal led by Nordwind Growth to expand the enterprise’s open-source data and experience management platform globally.

We strongly believe that control over intellectual property and software belongs in the hands of our customers and partners. Event Highlights at Pimcore
After a two-year-long absence of in-person events due to the pandemic, Pimcore finally made it back on stage. Together with over 230+ attendees and 83+ partners, the Pimcore Mountain Summit recently took place in the Austrian mountains. Fueled by creative ideas and interactive sessions, important Pimcore announcements rounded out the exciting day. Pimcore was also delighted to present its awards in person again. Pimcore was also present at the Online-Marketing-Rockstar Conference (OMR) and the Digital Marketing Exposition & Conference (DMEXCO) in Germany. As a result, Pimconauts were able to exchange creative ideas with other attendees and gain firsthand insights into the latest marketing industry trends at these major festivals.
Pimcore has been growing by more than 200% in 2022
In 2022, Pimcore increased its crew size by more than 200%, which led to the decision to look for a larger spaceship. Luckily, an appropriate one was found just before the most recent Pimconauts arrived. The new environment serves as an ideal meeting point for companions, as many Pimconauts work remotely. Those organizational changes ultimately provide more flexibility in choosing the time and location to fulfill their duties. We are equally excited for the journey ahead as Pimcore will not stop growing – stay tuned!
