Web-to-Print is now part of the Open Source Pimcore distribution

Today we have released our web-to-print feature – an integrated functionality to create print-ready PDFs directly within Pimcore.  It is based on flexible Pimcore documents and print documents can be composed with different areas and content stored in Pimcore - like assets and objects.

The creation workflow is designed as follows

  • HTML/CSS templating
  • Composing print documents with Pimcore functionality
  • Rendering PDF out of HTML/CSS with third party rendering engines directly in Pimcore.
  • Currently, we support wkhtmltopdf and PDFreactor.

This feature can be used for

  • One-page flyers
  • Product Sheets
  • Price Lists
  • Full-featured Product Catalogs

How our customers are using it

Pimcore’s database publishing functionalities revolutionize traditional print processes for creating B2B and B2C product catalogs, price sheets, and personalized marketing and sales collateral. Use Pimcore including the advanced PDFreactor renderer to automate database publishing processes, or integrate Pimcore content into an Adobe Indesign based workflow.
