They quickly found a suitable agency and Panorama began its digitization project, however the project quickly stalled. The system was not developed in line with their requirements, individually required bricks were not implemented and the CMS was running on an outdated version. Alex Clover soon realized that something had to change – there were no two ways about it, a new partner who was capable of implementing the objectives had to be found. The team defined precise requirements for this. The new agency needed to have a good understanding of the internal structures and workflows at Panorama and understand the general requirements of a real estate project.What might sound like a barrier to finding a new partner didn’t actually prove to be a problem for Panorama. After the initial discussions and a comprehensive review, it was clear to Timo Müller and Andreas Wroblewski: Pimcore would need to be be completely reinstalled. Once they had gained access to the Panorama website server, they began to set up a local development environment via Docker, implement hosting and migrate the repository from the previous agency to the new Pimcore environment. After the official project takeover was completed, the CMS Pimcore was rebuilt piece by piece and completely switched to the new instance within the codafish environment.After completing the groundwork, codafish moved on to working through the individual support tickets and the underlying requirements that Panorama had already provided to the former agency so that the website could be optimized according to the real estate agency’s wishes and in perfect harmony with the best technical components. A lengthy process, which in the end yielded an impressive result.
Following more than 3 years of support from codafish, the Pimcore CMS was renewed once again at the beginning of 2023 and the entire system was updated to Pimcore X. The success of this stability in combination with all the optimizations carried out is having an effect.
