Pimcore Makes Its Presence Felt at the Paris Retail Week 2018

The recently culminated ‘Paris Retail Week’ that happened between 10th to 12th September 2018 in Paris (at the Paris expo Porte de Versailles) turned out to be a resounding success for Pimcore, which, along with its strategic partner- DATASOLUTION, a leading digital agency based in France, exhibited at the event.

Pimcore was among approximately 700 companies which showcased their products at the Paris Retail Week, considered as the largest eCommerce event in France. This was the 4th edition of the yearly event. The event, which expected a participation of about 40,000 professionals and 350 speakers, had ‘Smart Phygital, the global and agile retail ecosystem!’ as its focus, where ‘Phygital’ referred to the marriage between off- and on-line retail.

The event focused on the entire value chain of the retail sector, right from new distribution models, customer buying journey, layout and design, web to store and store to web, shopper marketing to omnichannel CRM, and agile logistics, etc.

Pimcore’s booth witnessed a host of spirited conversations, one-on-one chats, exchange of ideas and, of course Pimcore demos between Pimcore representatives and visitors. The conversations mostly centered around open-source Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), eCommerce as well as Customer Experience (CX). A whole lot of buzz and curiosity was especially seen around the topics of MDM and eCommerce vis-à-vis Pimcore. The fact that Pimcore isn’t just an open-source PIM but also a master data/MDM system, kept the visitors thoroughly engrossed. They further came to know that MDM not only meant product data, but also that any kind or amount of digital data can be consolidated and managed from a central place with Pimcore.

The visitors were also acquainted with the biggest advantage of Pimcore eCommerce system, which is that data management and experience management can be performed using a single interface, which in turn provides a great time to market, both for carrying out the initial project implementation as well as for publishing the master data on all the online channels.

Since Pimcore is the only available platform that seamlessly integrates applications like PIM/MDM, DAM, CMS / UX and eCommerce and manage, integrate and consolidate, any type or amount of digital data, it provides advanced data management and customer experience.
