
Smart entry into e-commerce with own brand boosts sales growth
CHEMOFAST has been conducting research and development in the field of chemical fastening technology for about 40 years. As Hidden Champion and today's subsidiary of the WÜRTH Group, CHEMOFAST has developed into the market-leading private label specialist for injection anchors and supplies the largest brand manufacturers worldwide.
In order to meet the growth targets set by the WÜRTH group, CHEMOFAST decided for the first time to market its specialty chemical products under its own brand name. With the holistic support of ORT Interactive, an adequate web presence was created, which for the first time also positioned the company as a brand manufacturer and online retailer.

Design of a solution that meets demand yet is capable of growth
At the time of contact, the private label distribution project was still in its infancy. CHEMOFAST still had limited resources in the areas of marketing, sales and, in particular, logistics to manage and expand this new line of business.
For these reasons, the decision was made to initially handle sales of the still unknown brand via Amazon in order to benefit from existing customer access on the one hand and to minimize the costs for online marketing and order processing (via FBA) compared to the company's own full-fledged web store on the other.

Solution
Convincing brand presence with high consulting competence
CHEMOFAST offers fastening solutions for home use up to highly professional and building authority regulated applications for reinforcement connections. This range requires clever user guidance to lead the very different user groups to the products and consulting services relevant to them.
This was solved by means of a navigation concept that enables access via both the user groups and the application cases. In addition, a dialog-based product advisor was developed to determine the suitable fastening solution for the individual use case.
