The decisive factor for the digital transformation was to create a flexible platform with the help of a central PIM system, which creates high-performance commerce solutions, rapid market adaptations, and also innovation. Thus, it was not only necessary to integrate a comprehensive B2C shop, but also to standardize several brands of the Schwan Stabilo Outdoor Group, to optimize processes and to use synergies at the same time.
The maintenance and care of several brands, which have over 20 individual country shops and can be managed in up to 5 languages, means an enormous effort with high redundancy and sources of error.
Pimcore Partner Elements created a multi-mandate framework for the four brands Deuter Sport (backpacks), Ortovox (outdoor and mountain sports equipment), Maier Sports (outdoor and ski wear), and Gonso (cycling wear).
Pimcore enables comprehensive data harmonization. All products, several shops, and different clients can be easily managed in only one digital platform. In addition, there is a master data management for translation management, which allows fast, simple, and individual content maintenance of all country variants.
Instead of outsourced shop systems, which made every change complex and costly and made major developments practically impossible, an integrated B2C shop was created. The new competitive multi-shop solution with real-time checking of stock levels allows productivity and easy further development.
