Business Challenge

The successful growth of the company did not happen without impact to the website over the years.
The web presence continued to grow more complex with less clarity with each newly added business branch. Web pages with too much and long content for varying customer target groups were unable to provide the required overview and explain the company's complex solutions. Also, international customers had no English version of the web presence, leading to lessened visits despite much available content and information.
Additionally, automation and industry 4.0 should get a more important significance. New subsidiaries of the production area had to been added and integrated into the existing portfolio. Finally, the complex product database of electronics had to been portrayed adequately and exhaustively.

The web page content and the whole enterprise group's product portfolio can be maintained and extended withing a single system. The new solution enables the maintenance of comprehensive services and product database, the company internet presence, and editing presences of each business branch in different languages for a national and international audience. Pimcore is flexible and open to support additional changes in the business branches in the future.

Editorial content like company news, success stories, and job offers can be edited and customized with the integrated Pimcore user interfaces and editors' help. Extensions and new features of the project, e.g. a print of the product portfolio (Web2Print), are already planned due to the success of the project.
