The Caritas Association of the archdiocese München-Freising in Germany consists of over 350 facilities such as elderly homes, nursing services, day-care centers et al. It has more than 9.000 employees. To face the high competition for employees in the areas of social work, care, and education, valantic developed an attractive job and application platform for the Caritas Association fitting to the new facility websites in its layout, with a gateway to SAP/ Successfactors and a sophisticated job search.
Business Challenge
Facing a high competition for employees in the areas of social work, care, and education, the Caritas Association was in need of its own attractive job and application platform, that fitted to the new website relaunch. This new independent platform was required to directly address potential applicants by displaying detailed information on the organization as an employer, current job offers, the application process, and many more. Also, it needed a gateway to SAP’s Successfactors, as this system was used for job offers and the application process itself. Finally, the job platform was required to focus on usability as well as the user journey.
Pimcore Solution
Having started to relaunch over 350 Caritas facility websites in 1 Pimcore installation, the job platform would be included there as well. It was developed meeting the requirements of an appealing layout with a focus on mobile usage as well as fitting to the layout of the new facility websites for the best possible recognition value. The developed gateway to Successfactors does not just show current job offers. valantic managed to create a sophisticated job search (with ElasticSearch) with prefilterings, matching the job offers from SAP/Successfactors with the facilities’ websites, where users find detailed pages on the current open positions. Furthermore, valantic completed the job platform with an easy-to-maintain event calendar as well as with attractive animations.

With the new job platform, the Caritas Association of the archdiocese München-Freising is now well prepared for the competition employees in the areas of social work as well as other applicants. The new platform allows Caritas to present itself as an attractive employer and to inform potential job candidates. With the gateway to Successfactors, the organization can show current job offers with individual filtering possibilities and to accompany interested users throughout the application process. By displaying the detailed job information on the websites of those facilities, that have that open position, the user can learn more about the individual facility. There the user is given a chance to visit the job platform (again) or to directly start the application process, which sums up the ideal user journey.
