Inefficient legacy systems should be replaced
A central task in the collaboration with Ledlenser was to optimize the quality of the product data required for internal processes and for the relaunch of the online store. A product information management system (PIM) was to be implemented in order to make all data available in the company's own store as well as for sales on online marketplaces.
However, this also meant that legacy systems had to be replaced, while the seamless integration of the new system into the customer's ERP process had to be ensured. The country- and channel-specific requirements of the globally active company also had to be taken into account. The entire development of a new product was to be mapped via ERP and PIM - from the initial product idea, through the technical development process and production, to logistics, sales and ultimately delisting.
