"All-In-One" Digital Platform for the New Natixis SmartPOS Payment Solution
As part of the BPCE group (2nd banking group in France, KN - Euronext Paris), Natixis Payments offers connected, secure and scalable payment solutions with one motto: "Building better payments every day". The BPCE group also owns the 2 other French banks: Caisse d'Epargne and Banque Populaire.
The NPStore project is a global "All-in-one" digital platform for the new Natixis SmartPOS payment solution for French merchants. Customers and prospects can access information on the payment terminal, download new applications or buy accessories.
Business Needs
By launching SmartPOS, a new next-generation POS (Point of sales) solution, Natixis brings the richness of a tablet and the robustness of a POS to French merchants. With this "all-in-one" connected terminal, merchants have access to a digital cash integrated solution, accepting many types of payment solutions (debit cards, NFC contactless payment, Apple Pay, Paylib, etc.). SmartPOS is also associated with applications to manage, control and develop the merchant's business, while streamlining the shopping journey of customers.
Natixis came to SENZO with the aim of developing the NPStore digital platform, answering the following needs:
- Introduce the SmartPOS payment terminal and its offers
- Set up an application store dedicated to SmartPOS, called "App Market"
- Offer an e-commerce shop for accessories (holsters, device stands, protective films, etc.)
Pimcore Solution
The choice of Pimcore came naturally from SENZO to Natixis in order to meet these different needs. SENZO has relied on the global features of Pimcore (CMS, PIM, eCommerce and DAM) to offer a global digital platform with original tailored UI/UX. With Pimcore, Natixis not only can manage the content of their website (information pages, blog articles, FAQs, SEO, etc.), but also add, edit, manage dedicated applications from the App Market and accessories from the store section.
NPStore customers can browse new applications with strong benefits for their store (applications dedicated to their activities, loyalty programs, etc.), see screenshots and other videos. Then, they can buy applications online through the NPStore platform: new applications are automatically and remotely installed on their terminal(s) thanks to an API connection set up by SENZO team.
Last but not least, the Pimcore eCommerce Framework was used for the online accessories store, allowing Natixis to manage their customers' accessories (datas, orders, price rules, coupons, etc.).
Business Results
The result for Natixis is a global, unified and coherent digital platform based on Pimcore Open Source platform. Through a centralized back-office, they can manage their website, applications and accessories. Pimcore has opened new horizons to Natixis which can now deploy SmartPOS terminal over a wide scale and range of French merchants, offering them and their customers a new in-store experience of shopping. Finally, the native multisite possibilities offered by Pimcore have also enabled Natixis to duplicate its NPStore commercial offer in white label for the 2 other banks of the BPCE group: Caisse d'Epargne ("CE Boost Pay" offer) and Banque Populaire.
