Case Study: PIM, DAM, Workflow and Automated Leaflet Creation for Nisko Group
Nisko Group LTD, imports, manufactures, and markets electrical products and electronics. Nisko's range of products provides a professional and comprehensive solution for home use, public infrastructure, and industrial use. Using Pimcore PIM, MDM, Workflow, and DAM solutions, Nisko now manages, aggregates, and distributes all its product and master data for web and print channels.
Business Challenge
In a growing range of products, Nisko dealt with a large scale of product categories, specifications, images, packs, drawings, and leaflets. Employees and sales spent an incredible amount of time with the configuration of such a variety of specifications. eCatalog update was inefficient and lacked lots of elements, including product data, images, and image thumbnail. The creation of the images and thumbnails took a long time as the creation process on ERP was inefficient and used manual data. Catalogs, leaflets, and price lists were mostly handled manually and therefore took long as well.
Pimcore Solution
Pimcore solution consists of PIM, DAM, ERP & eCatalog integration, and Workflow. The daily sync process from ERP to Pimcore solved Nisko’s disorganized data and images.
The solution implemented a consolidated MDM/PIM platform for tens of thousands of products and other relevant entities. This meant that all their product data was stored in a single source where sales and product managers employees could easily update, locate, and access the information they needed. Automated Leaflet creation was achieved using Netgo’s Go2Publish - InDesign automation product that integrates easily to Pimcore and produces Leaflets and catalog automatically.
Business Results
Updating Nisko's eCatalog is now more accurate and efficient and takes less time. Creating image data for eCatalog has been significantly accelerated. Product managers spend less time updating their product information. Also, generating a new leaflet with Pimcore has been shortened to less than a minute. This results in fewer people in the working process.
