Yaskawa is one of the largest manufacturers of mechatronics and robotics solutions. The company offers its products throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the CIS countries. The company goal is to contribute to the evolution of society by improving the nature of its business, increasing the performance and productivity of our industry.
The corporate website relaunch was a milestone for us, wob AG, as well as for Yaskawa. The decisive factors for a successful implementation were:

Product structuring with a focus on usability
Our task was to develop a new product structure. In doing so, we were faced with the challenge of merging several product series with different structures.
The complexity of the products and the huge amount of technical details made this task particularly difficult. But we were able to master these demanding challenges - especially thanks to the great cooperation with Yaskawa.
In addition to the structuring of the products, we also took on the optimization of the page structure. The focus here was on UX/UI - more precisely, on simplifying the entry point for users and the overall improvement of user journeys.
Solution
Clean PIM structure for internal optimizations
To set up the product structure in the best possible way, we started with strategy and concept workshops. By doing so, we were able to capture the required content right from the start. Afterwards, we integrated the modules that had been developed in these workshops into Pimcore with little effort. The modules included:
- Applications
- Customers
- Downloads
- Industries
- Partners
- Cases and, of course, all products
All objects mentioned here were cross-linked by us. This was the inception of a clear structure for Yaskawa's corporate website.
Results
Corporate website relaunch for Yaskawa: structure, clarity and depth of detail
Thanks to Pimcore, we also succeeded in creating a visually modern and up-to-date website. The new website of Yaskawa impresses with a clear structure and a clean product visualization, but without losing sight of product detail with all the corresponding data as well as downloads.
While setting up the new product and page structure, we took into account that an easy maintenance in the backend is guaranteed: all the different countries can be organized and managed in one common system.
At the end of the project, Yaskawa received a Pimcore training that allows the company to maintain the content and pages all by itself in the future. Yaskawa also has a convenient access to this knowledge at any given time. To ensure this, we produced personalized training videos for new employees and placed them in the Yaskawa environment.
