Case Study: Multikraft optimizes communication and data management with a PIM system and a Europe-wide online shop

Multikraft has developed eco-friendly products using microorganisms to benefit people, animals, and the environment. Reducing pesticides, antibiotics and to educate on environmental protection is key.

 

Multikraft's new PIM system creates central storage and management of all product and marketing data. Communication with partners and end users is optimized. The project focuses on the entire information supply chain. With Pimcore, relevant data was consolidated and a white label system with over 300 modules was implemented. The online shop for Europe and the frontend were also realized with Pimcore.

Ongoing transition from the existing solution to a new one.

As part of the “Multikraft Digital Platform” innovation initiative, Multikraft GmbH is striving for a cross-brand digital solution that can consolidate all product and marketing data on a central platform. The goal is to seamlessly store and manage all data in a single place. In the future, Multikraft would like to use this data to optimize communication with partners and end users across all current and future information channels. The project's focus is on the information supply chain, from procurement and production to distribution. Relevant information should be made accessible to all employees, partners and suppliers on a digital platform. In order to achieve this goal, numerous technical, organizational and cultural innovations are required right from the start. In addition to these structural changes, data consolidation is a particularly challenging task.
Solution

Everything from a single source with Pimcore

In the course of intensive research and analysis, we first brought together all relevant data in a data pool based on Pimcore's DXP. This data was then prepared, refined and processed on the Multikraft Digital platform. The third step was to prepare the data for distribution to the various output channels. After designing and setting up the initial platform, we modeled, migrated and consolidated the data. These central and universal data objects now form the basis for all other platform products, including data extracts, PDF data sheets, newsletter and website content, shop product details and image downloads. Finally, a white label system with over 300 reusable modules was implemented to complete the project.

New shop with an attractive design

Continued for Multikraft.com In Multikraft's new, modern PIM system, employees can now easily manage and maintain master data, product data, configurations and information in multiple languages. Editors now publish content on the homepage and category pages automatically or with minimal manual effort. Technically, the solution is based on the Pimcore CMS and e-commerce framework. The project is rounded off by a modern design and intuitive user navigation in the new B2B shop. In addition, the shop solution offers functions such as split shopping carts at checkout for different shipping methods and the dynamic calculation of discounts including returns management. Within the system, we have created a solution for the individual configuration of BMEcat-based product data exports to connect partner marketplaces. We have also implemented a batch import and export function for bulk processing of product information.
