Wholesale distribution & manufacturing company reduces time to market
PRONAR is a commercial company specialized in wholesale distribution (professional machinery and equipment) for various industries including automotive and aviation. PRONAR was established over 20 years ago and operating in Poland since 1994.
Today, PRONAR is a one of nation leaders in the sales of tools with offices across Poland and a team of dedicated salesmen.
Before PRONAR only relied on their ERP system as the only database source for product information. This was an unacceptable solution since several siloed sources needed to be manually imputed into the ERP:
1. Product data was stored in flat files such as Microsoft Excel and Word along with some InDesign files.
2. Digital resources were also not consolidated and were stored in and distributed network resources.
This was a time-consuming process for the employees leading to delays in the product information for traders. Apart from the extra time needed to consolidate and create new catalog it was a tedious process that required caution since often data would need to be repeatedly entered in the different systems and flat files.
Pimcore data integration was able to efficiently aggregate data from all the scattered sources including the flat files (i.e., Excel). This allowed immediate access to the most accurate data sheets and ensured that all the information was always the most current for the employees of the company. Providing 100% consistency of presented digital resources in all channels, automatic conversion between various graphics file formats.
The built-in Pimcore GUI easily and steadily maintains the catalog tables and layout up to date. The automated product catalogs that contained the most accurate data, employees can provide a holistic and complete report. In the subsequent steps, it also enabled automatic generation of PDF datasheets, product catalogs, and user manuals.
It didn’t matter if the employees were from different departments, as long as they are involved in the process of creating data. Data from the PIMCORE database is also directly found into the Adobe Indesign application documents.
Instantly, PRONAR saw the results of the implementation. Overall, they reduced their time to market. The automation catalogs and InDesign application alleviate the time consumption for the designers. It also allowed all employees to have a single source for them to access the latest data and avoided the creation of information duplication.
