Avira Launches Its Digital Content Strategy with Pimcore
Avira Operations GmbH & Co. KG is a German multinational security software company that provides antivirus software, Internet Security, Privacy, Identity and Performance tools for computers, smartphones, servers, and networks, delivered as both software and cloud-based services.
Avira wants to have a flexible and scalable central hub for managing content and products, also from external sources. The goal is an editor friendly system with editor workflows and the possibility to manage content from various international locations of the company. And the future system should also be a centralized platform for managing personalized B2C and B2B communication for the customers of the firm. It has to manage marketing content for products from other systems.
Avira needs a single source publishing system which is able to address better the needs of the customers by showing them personalized, customized content. There was a content hub concept created to ensure a brand consistency that make the content appeal to all international both B2B and B2C customers.
They look for a flexible solution, a future-proofed content platform, which should also have both DAM and PIM capabilities in addition the CMS. But there shall also be possibility to get a content and a service platform in which there will be stored any kind of corporate and product content.
All over the world high-performance every day and night in a week the delivery of content is also an important factor of the project.
Now Pimcore is playing a central role. It is used for all areas of the corporate content in the company. In addition to pure CMS functionalities a PIM, DAM and MDM was also implemented. The real peculiarity of this project, however, is the central content hub with which any kind of corporate content can be managed and maintained.
The content is structured and managed neutrally and provided with content and service via the API. A separate content creation process has been designed and implemented for this type of content administration. Furthermore an own simple is used to backen search for the content hub which was also implemented.
Editors, marketing users, product responsibles, the design team and other people having now the change to manage all the types of corporate content from one source in a single interface. Web editors can also create easy and fast new landing pages, microsites, websites for new markets, customized reseller pages, product comparisons and much more.
The big usability of the system makes it faster and easier for the editors in order to manage the whole digital content. It keep that up to date.
